Well, I'll be... My husband made the front page in our newspaper yesterday on the Fourth of July!!! This is the picture they used! It's a photo of my husband holding the photo of our children that he carried in his front pocked the whole year he was in Iraq.

We're honored! But, I must admit, I speak for my husband when we say that we're a little embarrassed by all of the attention. My husband did a great job over in Iraq, but there are hundreds, thousands of soldiers who were killed or horribly injured over there.

We're so blessed. My husband made it home will all ten fingers and toes.

Go thank a soldier today and God Bless America!!!

Your husband gives a voice to all the men and women serving. He represents them all and he does it well. He brings attention to all of them, not just himself. This attention comes with great responsibility and you and your family are doing an incredible job. I'm so proud of you and your family and all the men and women serving overseas. I am a Canadian and this week we lost 6 soldiers in Afghanistan. We meed to be supporting our troups wherever they are serving.

Take care
Corinne

How exciting. I didn't see the article as I don't usually get the Charlotte Observer except on sunday, but I'll have to read the article online.

That is a lovely tribute to your husband and your family. Wonderful photo. My DH is still deployed, going on 13 months soon... we need to pray for and support all soldiers and their families, and this tribute to your husband reminds us all of that.
